EXOTIC WOOD SERVING BOARD.
I recently went travelling in the US and Canada, while in San Francisco, i visited a lumber store called Macbeath hardwoods. As i only had a limited weight allowance on my luggage and only had a spare $45 i decided it was best to by some nice piece from their off-cut boxes. After looking through the boxes i had got about 10 pieces most of which are almost impossible in the UK. After 6 weeks of travelling i returned home and had almost forgotten about the wood, However i quickly rediscovered it and realised that it was my mums birthday fast approaching. so i decided to make her something she really wanted....a place to put hot dishes on the table for a meal. So this is what i came up with:
